ROOMS

Classic rooms at the property are around 340-385 square feet in size. They offer the option of a queensize bed or twin beds. These rooms can comfortably accommodate two adults and one child. Most rooms in this category offer a view of the nearby mountains.

Premier Rooms offer a choice between queensize and twin beds. These rooms cover an area of about 370-425 square feet. Most rooms in this category offer a mountain view or a view of the resort’s landscaped gardens. Premier rooms can comfortably accommodate two adults and two children.

The Premier Cottages are intricately designed. Each of these cottage is usually 450-550 square feet in size, and has a kingsize bed. The cottages are spacious and can comfortably accommodate three adults. Most cottages have a view of the mountains.

Guests can request for an extra bed, which would be chargeable. The property provides irons and ironing boards, room heaters and umbrellas on request. Guests can ask for laundry service, too.

Each room or cottage has a tea/coffee maker, an LED television set with satellite channels, a safe deposit locker and air conditioning, besides two complimentary 500 ml bottles of water. The attached bathrooms have all essential amenities. Hairdryer is provided on request.

DINING

Sterling Gangtok Orange Village’s multicuisine restaurant-cum-bar, Suntaley Chulo, is well known for its traditional Nepali cuisine, and he restaurant offers lip-smacking choices in many other international dishes, too. The bar has an interesting cocktail menu, and serves the spirits with delectable finger food. The resort’s bar is open all through the day.

EXPERIENCES

The resort is a short ride away from popular sightseeing stops such as Banjhakri Falls and Gangtok Ropeway. The Gangtok experience is incomplete without a stroll down MG Marg, the heart of the city, which is in close proximity to the property.

Cabs and car rentals are easily available from the hotel to various hotspots. Must-visit places include the monasteries Enchay Gompa, Tsuk La Khang, Rumtek, Ranka, and Pemayangtse, besides Namgyal Institute of Tibetology. You could visit Hanuman Tok, Shiv Temple and Thakurbari Temple, too, or explore the Himalayan Zoological Park and the Black Cat Museum.

The nearest airport is at Pakyong, about 19 km away. New Jalpaiguri Junction is the closest railway station, about 118 km away, while the SNT bus stand is about 8 km away from the resort. The resort provides transfers on request.
